Side-Line Magazine announces that the pre-sales for the Depeche Mode live CD’s of the new tour have started:
ShareAs we announced about a month ago, Depeche Mode are ready to repeat the Live Here Now approach for their upcoming world “Tour of The Universe 2009″. The news has been confirmed by Liveherenow.com who has started the pre-sales for the live recordings right here. This means that every concert will be released as a 2CD set and download. It will be the second time that Depeche Mode chooses this approach. Almost the complete last half of their 2005/2006 “Touring The Angel” tour was also available as ‘legal bootlegs’ via the EMI company Live Here Now. Just like last time, fans will be able to buy vouchers at the shows and online. The 2CD versions are 18 UK Pound (if you buy 3 you get one for free) and the downloads are 10 UK Pound (also here, if you buy 3 you get one for free) .
Small detail, the first try-out gig in Luxemburg is not featured in the list.
Live Here Now was established in 2004 to produce and sell live concert recordings within minutes of an event finishing. The project is run by a team of industry professionals and the company’s first release was recorded at Camber Sands in December 2004, capturing Throbbing Gristle live. Later on the releases were post-produced and sent off a few days to a few weeks after the gigs took place which increased the quality largely.
